Art 330 Graphic Design

During this 3 Week May session course, students focused on expanding on their type and page layout skills in InDesign focusing on visual hierarchy through typography, working with the grid, and InDesign fundamentals such as character styles and master pages. Throughout the course, students worked with recent graduates of the Louisville School of Massage to develop their personal promotional packet. Packet consisted of a business card, referral card, brochure, and promotional postcard.

Advanced Media Design

During this 3 Week May session course, students worked with local business owners of Starry Fields Farm to create a visual identity and promotional collateral for their upcoming Starry Fields Music festival. Students created a wordmark, poster design, and concepts for t-shirt designs as well as social media and a web landing page. Throughout the session, students met with owners Ryan and Jessica via Zoom for idea pitches, weekly check-ins, and a final presentation.

Electronic Illustration

During this 3 Week May session course, students completed 3 different projects that focused on a variety of illustration styles and techniques using Adobe Illustrator and Procreate. Additionally, they completed skillset tutorials on their on to supplement in class learning. Projects included polygon portraits, pattern/surface design, and a digital desktop calendar/wallpaper design.
