Archetype Poster Exhibition

This poster exhibition was developed and executed by the Spring 2018 Visual Thinking Course. The students spent the semester studying the U.S.-based “Type-Hike” poster collective and initiative. The class had the opportunity to learn about “Type Hike” via a video meeting with the creators of the poster initiative. Students researched iconic buildings and locations in downtown Bowling Green and used that as the foundation and conceptual framework for their posters.  Each student produced 2 posters that explored the relationship of type and image. Students also visited and utilized the university archives at Kentucky Museum for their research of the downtown area and its iconic and historic buildings. Posters were exhibited during a pop-up-show at Art Matters community gallery in downtown Bowling Green.
